Serving the community in and around Dunbar,
East Lothian, Scotland
Welcome!

St Anne's is a charge of the Scottish Episcopal Church, part of the Anglican Communion.
On 29 November 2015, the congregation united with the Dunbar Methodist Church to form one unified presence serving Dunbar and district. We are part of the Forth Valley Methodist Circuit and regularly enjoy preachers from the circuit.

A word from the Rector
'My first few months at St Anne's Church
have been exciting and fulfilling. As a
family we're very grateful for the warm
welcome and support we received as we
settled in. The kids are enjoying school
and their sports, and Lee and I are
pursuing our own interests too.
I'm enjoying getting to know people in St Anne's as well as the wider community. I've been learning lots about the church's history and ways of doing things as well as people's hopes and ambitions. The amount of energy and aspiration amongst St Anne's folk is amazing.
During this time Young Church has developed into a regular activity twice a month, thanks to a committed team of volunteers. All-age services are planned for October with a fresh approach.
An ecumenical book-group began in May bringing more than a dozen people from four different churches together. The first book was by local author Emma Timms and the rich discussion it inspired was thrilling. I've learned so much from the wisdom shared by those who took part.
More established groups continue to meet. The Eco-group is working on plans for the Season of Creation and the Peace and Justice Group is planning more informative events on current issues. Coffee and Chat is attracting a growing number of people on Tuesday mornings and Silent Mornings continue monthly on Saturdays providing space for reflection.
There is so much to St Anne's and I'm looking forward to learning more and more. In the meantime, I've been given a long list of recommendations for places to see and things to do as a family in Dunbar and the surrounding area.'
